Brief summary of the trade mission trip to Germany
On October 8-9, 2024, a trade mission to Germany of the Lviv cluster of medical business took place, the topic of which was devoted to the development of innovations in medicine.
On October 8, we visited Mannheim and got acquainted with the Qbex One accelerator, which helps startups develop their ideas and is a platform for medtech inventors from all over Germany.
Also, as part of the program prepared for us together with the Mannheim Medical Technology Cluster, we had the opportunity to see the laboratory where Living Lab inventions are tested and the Mannheim University Clinic, on the basis of which patient wards operate, where inventions can be tested in practice in clinical conditions.
INSPIRE Living Lab is the first real laboratory in Germany, which allows startups and companies to test medical technologies in the everyday conditions of wards in real hospital conditions. Professor Patrick Maier presented the Inspire platform, which combines all opportunities for the development of medical technologies in the region.
On October 9, they took part in the annual conference of the BioRN cluster
Annual Conference BioRN 2024 "New therapeutic opportunities in personalized medicine"
The conference was attended by professors, scientists and top managers of such companies as Heidelberg Pharma, VERAXA Biotech, NEC Bio Therapeutics, the Medical Faculty of Mannheim, Heidelberg University, Goethe University Frankfurt and the German Cancer Research Center.
More than 400 participants and 34 stands of various companies were present in the hall, which had the opportunity to tell about themselves, including our stand of the Lviv medical business cluster.
Thanks to groundbreaking technological advances, radiopharmaceuticals and drug-antibody conjugates have once again opened up great opportunities for clinical development. In addition, new understanding of epigenetics, RNA biology, and molecular glues have opened the way to other new therapeutic methods that hold great promise for individualized treatment. The annual bioRN conference will bring together the expertise of basic, applied and clinical research in these fields, promoting new perspectives and visions of personalized medicine.
Investors from the pharma industry have traditionally attended the event, so startups had a unique opportunity to announce themselves and even find funding.
Next year, we plan to gather an even larger delegation and visit Germany
